On the weekend of July 9-12, as Livingston
County is in “Phase 4” (???), we could now gather in groups of 25. Walt and
Beryl Linden organized a return to Genesee Country Campground in Caledonia,
NY. Many of us showed up on Thursday and we had dinner in Leroy. Friday, many
went to Gunsmoke for dinner while Saturday dinner was from a food truck
supplied through Genesee Country. Breakfasts were on our own.
Wilbur and Carol Shafer
joined us for dinner Friday while they wait for the registration on their new
RV. Steve and Joanne Wyble and their new coach joined us on Saturday and Sunday.
John and Judy Loomis are moving back to New York after 14 years in Arizona and
joined the chapter. George Worden and Patti Pritchard came for the Saturday
meeting.
The weather wasn’t totally cooperative.
Thursday and Friday temperatures were 90ish while Saturday the clouds turned
loose. Our awning found it could not support 3+ inches of rain in a couple
hours. One arm bent and tares ripped the awning.
