Our September rally was held at Southwoods
Resort in Byron, NY. Thanks to Carol Shafer, who had the
foresight to plan a year in advance, we had 11 Fingerlakers join 9
Calico Sams there. We were 20 minutes from the casino in Batavia.
There was plenty to do including good eats supplied by Carol and our
members. We were fortunate to have Walt and Beryl Linden, and Bev
Brown visit. Walt has a new engine and he reports 1 mile per gallon
better.
We have a complete slate of officers who
will take over in October. They are showing to the left of this blog. The officers jobs are
not hard as long as folks are willing to help. We need future help
with officers and wagon masters.
Our new newsletter editor (the voice of the
chapter) is Wes Barager. Starting this month everyone received a
“hard copy” of the newsletter. That was decided in May. Of
course, everything has a cost. We are raising dues to $15 starting
January 1st. We will also continue the blog and web site.
