Thanks to Harold Wollaber, in September,
we headed close to Niagara Falls, to the Cambria fireman’s field. Ably
assisted by Dick and Celine Moses, Ann and Reed Johnson and lots others from
the 17 coaches who showed up in Cambria. In an area with lots to see and do and
apples, peaches and more at peak, it made for a great weekend.

It wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t mention Les and Betty Sliker
who made 3 dozen scrambled eggs each Saturday and Sunday morning in the cool air.
Friday dinner was highlighted by Ann Johnson’s brew – a
genuine western New York Fireman’s Chowder. Our Saturday pot luck dinner was
provided by the skilled attendees. During the weekend, we were joined by the
Lavenders, McSweenys and Fadales just to socialize. And, we had two camp fires.a
Thanks to Harold, Dick (in his memory), Celine, Ann, and Reed for a great weekend.
